Burgos 

Burgos is a city in Old Castile on the N1 road between Madrid and Bilbao, and is as handsome and historic a place as you will find. It is traditionally conservative, church and army being the two dominant social groups. The site of the city council has no English content, unfortunately: you can find most of the city's important monuments here. And you will find a little more about Burgos on SPV's Old Castile page.

Burgos Cathedral 

The Catedral de Santa María, Burgos Cathedral, is one of Spain's finest, begun in 1221 and not completed until the 16th century. The link goes to the cathedral's efficient new official website, which covers visiting for tourism or worship, its history, getting there and not much more.

CAB 

The Centro de Arte Caja de Burgos and its modern art collection occupies a new (2003) building in the higher part of the historic city centre, next to the church of San Estebán.
