De Ilici a Elx 2006

The Celtiberian bust called the Lady of Elche, normally on display in Madrid's Archaeological Museum, was lent to its home town in 2006, adding to its two World Heritage distinctions, the palmeral, palm forest, and the misteri, Mystery Play. Elche responded by inaugurating a new Archaeological and History Museum of its own. This is the website for the 2006 summer season, focusing on the town's cultural attractions.

Elche

Elche is twice a world heritage site (firstly for its mediaeval mystery play and secondly for its enormous palmeral, palm tree forest). This muncipal site is in Spanish only, which matters not as the municipal tourist information site is brilliant.
