Ayuntamiento de La Coruña

La Coruña, A Coruña or Corunna is a historic but modern city with great shopping and a vibrant nightlife. It was the departure point for the Great Armada and was sacked by Francis Drake (they have never forgotten, much less forgiven). During the Peninsula War, a heroic rearguard action was fought as a British army was trying to evacuate, and it is here that General John Moore was buried "alone with his glory," as the poem by Charles Wolfe has it. For a municipal website, the city council's site has some unusually entertaining content, and even available in English.

La Coruña Municipal Tourist Information

Tends to return to the city council's website, which is not a problem. All the information you would expect: where to sleep, what to see, where to eat, leisure, nature, routes, "sea tourism," and a photo album.
