D.O. Lanzarote

This denominación de origen covers the entire island of Lanzarote: Its farmers have amazingly ingenious techniques to extract the fertility out of its dry, black, volcanic soil, and Lanzarote is a historical wine producer. Red and rosé are made, but its most remarkable wines are white, often sweet, often strong, made from the Malvasia grape - the Malmsey now mainly associated with Madeira, but originally from Greece.

Lanzarote Guidebook

OK personal website with aspirations to more. The annotation submitted was: "In-depth island information. A good quality and up to date resource for anyone planning to visit Lanzarote," none of which is 100% true.

Lanzarote Patronato de Turismo

Flash-heavy, but helpful, informative and entertaining. Tourist centres, beaches, festivals and fiestas, accommodation (from hotels down to pensions, no online booking, though), rural tourism, and Lanzarote as convention centre. Plus Lanzarote as biosphere reserve, with details of all the protected areas. Note that the link to the English-language version (I have not checked other languages) only seems to work in Internet Explorer - try here if you can't get there otherwise.
