Funchal

Funchal 500 Anos
Funchal was the first place in Portugal's new Atlantic islands, Madeira and the Azores, to be given city status, in 1508, to be exact. Its fifth centenary will thus fall in 2008, and so is a good reason for a party. I hope they get some foreign-language versions of this website ready in the meantime.Added on: 10-Jun-2005 | hits: 147
