Vino de Mondéjar 

A wee little denominación de origen in the south of the province of Guadalajara, west of the capital and south of the Alcarria region. There are only six bodegas in the region, and three of those are cooperatives. I can't say much about the actual wine made, though I suspect the white will be more interesting than the red.

Hotel and restaurant, possibly the only hotel and almost certainly the only good restaurant in Mondéjar.

Ayuntamiento de Mondéjar 

Mondéjar is a sleepy little place in or to the south of the Alcarria region of Guadalajara. It has an attractive historic centre, gives its name to a small wine-growing area, and would not be a bad base at all for a couple of days of bucolic idleness.
