Link profile: Teruel

Category: Start / Spain and its Regions / Aragón / Teruel / Teruel (City)
Although it is having some success in encouraging rural tourism, the southernmost province of Aragon, Teruel is still one of the poorest, most depopulated parts of the country, and it is sometimes possible to drive for hours there without seeing another soul. Its capital city is so isolated a campaign was launched with the slogan "Teruel Exists, Too." This municipal site is Spanish-only, but otherwise fine, and has a number of subsites of interest - click "Enlaces de Interés."
