This forest in Asturias is a biosphere reserve with extremely limited access (twenty visitors a day). For many, its main attraction will be the Bear Enclosure (see under Fundación Oso de Asturias).

Charity dedicated to conservation of the Cantabrian Brown Bear. One of its main activities is the Bear Enclosure within the Bosque de Muniellos, where two female bears, Paca and Tola, are kept in semi-wild conditions (they were rescued from poachers and their return to the wild is considered impossible, as they are too accustomed to humans). Bear in mind, so to speak, that visits to the Muniellos Forest are strictly limited to twenty a day, and that the bears will not be visible (they hibernate) from the end of November to the beginning of March.
