Getting Around the Costa Blanca
By: John Ross 2006.04.27

The TRAM, the Denia-Alicante tram-cum-railway, connects Alicante, San Juan, El Campello, Villajoyosa, Benidorm, L'Alfas del Pí, Altea, Calpe, Benissa, Teulada (not Jávea), and Denia. Obviously, there are more bus lines: Alsa connects these places and most of the rest north of the province of Alicante, including inland places of interest like Alcoy and its neighbour Muro de Alcoy, Castalla and Jijona. In the south of the area, the new Murcia-Alicante railway can get you to Elche and other places inland, while on the coast, the Costa Azul group of companies connects Alicante, El Altet, Santa Pola, Guardamar del Segura, Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada.
