Unregistered User I was in Barcelona a few years ago and saw (on the news) a football (soccer) club with the initials PB - in blue and maroon colours with gold lettering (not disimilar to the Barcelona colours) in a round lozenge - does anyone know what club it might be? Thanks

That was a toughie for me, being less than football crazy, but I think we've cracked it. It wouldn't have been the shield/logo/colours of a football club (except... no, read on), but that of a pe?a, supporters' club. The PB you mention could mean either pe?a barcelonesa or, more probably, pe?a blaugrana, referring precisely to Bar?a's colours. These pe?as are called by their locality (PB de Zaragoza, for example) and may have teams of their own competing in low-level or local divisions and leagues. I think the president of Barcelona FC has even recently visited Morocco to encourage the founding of pe?as over there.
